A Trusted Estate Planning Attorney With Decades of Experience

Paul Hyl is a founding partner of Hyl Conte Law, PLLC, practicing exclusively in trusts and estates and elder law. He advises clients on a wide range of planning strategies, including estate planning, asset preservation, Medicaid planning, wealth transfer, and estate and gift taxation.


He has more than 25 years of experience handling sophisticated estate planning matters, as well as estate administration and estate litigation. His work includes drafting wills, trusts, and advanced planning documents, as well as guiding families through complex legal and financial decisions.


Earlier in his career, Paul served as counsel to the Nassau County Public Administrator, where he advised on estate and fiduciary matters on a daily basis.

Paul Hyl is actively involved in the legal community and has been recognized for his work in trusts and estates law.


He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and its Trusts and Estates Section, and previously served as Co-Chair of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Elder Law, Social Services and Health Advocacy Committee.


He has also served as an adjunct professor at Molloy College and Dowling College, teaching courses related to estate planning, retirement planning, and elder law.
